Robin has his own business running a number of convenience stores and Post Offices across Ayrshire.

He lives with his wife and three children in East Ayrshire. He has been President of the Ayrshire branch of the National Federation of Retail Newsagent and is heavily involved with Bonnyton Thistle Community football club.
