Resigning amid SNP turmoil, Murray Foote has been replaced by Carol Beattie who only recently had to apologise for sharing comments suggesting the Royal Family should be executed.

Beattie’s shameful and deeply offensive comments have no place in politics and demonstrates how out-of-touch those in the SNP are with the views of mainstream Scotland.

The appointment of Beattie highlights the level of chaos unfolding within the scandal-ridden SNP.
