East Ayrshire Conservatives Announce Candidate.
The local Conservative Association has announced that Caroline Hollins will be their candidate in the Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency at the forthcoming General Election
Caroline is a native of Ayr and lives locally. Her experience has encompassed a career in midwifery and psychology that spans 34 years. She currently works as a Professor in Maternal Health within the School of Health and Social Care at Edinburgh Napier University. In the past she has worked for the NHS at Crosshouse Hospital as a lecturer in midwifery attached to the local maternity unit. She knows the issues affecting local people in this area.
Speaking about her selection Caroline said:-
“I am delighted to represent Kilmarnock and Loudoun constituency, which is a part of Ayrshire where as a midwife I have worked to help women, partners and families gain a 'best start' in life”.
My commitments to the people of Kilmarnock and Loudoun include:
- “If elected, I will be a dedicated, approachable, accountable and effective Member of Parliament (MP).”
- “I will respect the outcomes of the two previous referendums by delivering Brexit and stand up for Scotland remaining in our four country UK union. We can than then move on and support the people of this constituency to obtain the things that matter to them, which include a high quality NHS, excellent education and training, a strong economy, local jobs, and provide support for local businesses to expand, whilst ensuring that retailers on our high streets are able to adapt to modern-day lifestyle and shopping trends.”
